Get Election Day Ready – Voter Look Up

“Ontario’s municipal and school board elections take place on October 22, 2018. If you are a resident, owner or tenant of property in Ontario, a Canadian citizen and 18 years of age you can vote in Ontario’s municipal and school board elections.

We all play a role in ensuring a fair electoral system, and it is the responsibility of every elector to make sure their information is up-to-date and accurately reflected for electoral purposes. By logging into voterlookup.ca, eligible electors can:

  • confirm or update their electoral information;
  • add an elector name to an address; and,
  • change school support.”

Mark your calendar.  Cast Your Vote!

Voting day for the 2018 Oakville municipal election will take place on Monday, October 22, 2018, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.  You can vote at any voting location in your ward – handy!

Identification and your voter information notice is all you need.  Acceptable forms of identification include: Driver’s licence; Ontario photo card; Current utility bill; Current bank or credit card statement; Current insurance policy.  Visit the Ministry of Municipal Affairs for the full list of acceptable voter identification.  Voter information notices will be mailed out in September.

Online voter services, including ‘Where do I Vote’ and ‘Am I on the Voters’ List’ are now available at elections.oakville.ca.  You can also request an addition or amendment to the list easily using the Town’s new online form. Check the list in advance and avoid delays at voting locations.

If you can’t make it out on the 22nd, you can still vote.  Participate in advanced voting.  Here’s how.
